Wednesday 18 July 2018
The University of Cambridge Regional Teacher Briefings are information and professional development events for teachers, run in local schools and colleges. Their aim is to help teachers and HE Advisers support academic students to make strong applications to highly selective universities. They are particularly appropriate for Key Stage 5 teachers and HE Advisers, though Key Stage 4 teachers who focus on academic progression and transition will benefit from them too. An Admissions Tutor and Schools Liaison personnel will be present at each event, from the region’s Area Link College(s).
Each event will include presentations and practice, and will be flexible to the needs of participants. Typical sessions include:
- Cambridge Admissions: Introductions and Updates
- Super-curricular Activities
- Personal Statements
- Admissions Assessments
- The Application Process: An Admissions Tutor’s Perspective
This event will run between 16.00 and 17.30.
